Reddest Red State Utah’s Role In The Used’s Success

The Used drummer Branden Steineckert tells Australia’s Time Off magazine he’s able to appreciate the role Utah has played in the success of the band. “A lot of our punk-rock and hardcore attitude came from being from such a conservative area,” Steineckert asserts. “I think it really caused the fire to burn a little brighter, as opposed to if you come from somewhere where it’s handed to you and there are venues and bands surrounding you all the time. I think it just made the passion that much stronger.”
