Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood explained to Radio 1 that the crowd at Glastonbury made 2003 really special. “It was good cos we played other concerts in Belgium and Germany, so it felt like a groove from the other shows,” Colin said following the band’s performance on Saturday night. “But they (the crowd) were amazing when they sang at the end of ‘Karma Police’. We were much more into playing together and looking at each other rather than in ’97 where it all went wrong – technically a disaster for the first three songs. So it was a different kind of intensity, because in ’97 we were really concentrating cos we couldn’t hear anything, and in this concert we were enjoying listening to each other, so there was a bit more flow.”
