QOTSA’s Oliveri Explains ‘Songs For The Deaf’ Title

Sarah Rodman of the Boston Herald chatted with Queens singer-bassist Nick Oliveri on the group’s new album, ‘Songs for the Deaf’. Asked for the new album’s meaning, Oliveri explained, “Our sound man used to work with deaf children, and they’d have these parties and they’d pump the music in so loud at this really low bass frequency, and it would be like standing next to a train. You didn’t need to hear it because you could feel it.” Bostonherald.com has since removed the article.
