Polished Pop-Punk Acts Are Warped Tour Favorites
Bob Gendron of the Chicago Tribune was on hand Saturday (July 24) at Tweeter Center for the Vans Warped Tour. He writes, “Nothing was more popular than a trio of polished pop-punk acts riding high on the commercial charts. New Found Glory, Simple Plan and Yellowcard all played to throngs of shrieking female adolescents and crowd-surfing teens who lapped up sugary choruses that railed against getting up in the morning, boyfriend-girlfriend breakups and rejection.” Chicagotribune.com has since removed the article.
