Pete Doherty Escapes More Legal Peril

The Mirror reports that Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty had to talk his way out of a theft arrest at the Vienna airport on his way home on Monday, when he stopped at a Burberry shop and bought a patterned coat and a watch, but then picked up a pair of scarves but didn’t pay for them. “I called the police when he left the shop,” an assistant told the tabloid. “They chased him to his gate and found the scarves on him, he told them he ‘forgot’ to pay and handed over the £250 in crumpled £5 notes.”
