Pete Doherty Claims Attack Was In Self Defense
Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty was charged on Thursday night with robbery and blackmail after attacking ex-pal Max Carlish. Doherty spent the night in the cells and was due to appear before magistrates this morning. The fight stemmed from Carlish refusing to pay Doherty after the two teamed to sell a photo of him using drugs for £30,000 to News of the World. A source close to the former Libertines singer said, “Pete was terrified because Max was totally off the wall. He was so scared that he just let Max have it.” Read more.
