Re-launching Jane’s Addiction seems a strange admission of “sellout” from artists who had the foresight to split when they were spent — and who’ve made the reunion gold rush twice before. Frontman Perry Farrell tells Chris Harris of the Hartford Advocate that cash had nothing to do with it. “If that’s the angle someone wants to approach this record with, then go ahead,” Farrell says. “If someone wants to view this in a negative light, that’s their prerogative. It was purely for an artistic reason that we got back together.”
