Pennywise Singer Ponders Solo Album To Show His Musical Range
Time Off magazine caught up with Pennywise vocalist Jim Lindberg about the reputation the politically-charged punk band has gotten over its 18 years of sounding monotonous. “People expect a certain sound, a certain lyrical style, a certain spirit when they buy a Pennywise record,” Lindberg explained. “A solo record is something I’ve thought about doing. And it’s not usually met with a lot of support from various members of the band for whatever reason. We’ve always been a band that believes Pennywise comes first. But I have a ton of songs I’ve written over the years, and sooner rather than later I’ll be wanting to put them out.” The article at timeoff.com.au has since been removed.
