Pearl Jam Was Just OK In Irvine
Erik Pedersen of the Hollywood Reporter reviewed the Pearl Jam concert Monday night in Irvine, California. Pedersen writes, “Even when they paraded through the hit list, something was missing. [Frontman Eddie] Vedder seemed distant, only occasionally and briefly addressing the packed crowd. When he threw his head back and closed his eyes, you expected more than you got. He even blew the words to ‘Wishlist,’ among their biggest latter-day hits and one they play almost every night. Of course, even without their ‘A’ game, Pearl Jam still pummels most of today’s young rock acts.”
