David Finnigan of Brandweek reports Ozzy Osbourne is drawing much attention from advertisers after the success of his MTV reality show ‘The Osbournes’. Ozzy’s wife Sharon says she has turned down companies, including cigarette makers, Taco Bell and others, seeking tie-ins to Ozzy, but she is talking to General Motors’ Saturn unit about possible promos for this year’s Ozzfest.
“They’ve come to us,” she said. “It’s a midrange, working-class person’s car, which we would do,” she said, adding that her husband’s image fits the car because “he’s a working-class hero to so many people around the world.”
