Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens tells John Petkovic of the Cleveland Plain Dealer that he isn’t bitter now that Judas Priest announced that it had replaced him and reunited with its original singer, Rob Halford, in advance of their 30-year anniversary tour slated for next year. “There had been talk of Halford rejoining for a while,” Owens said, via phone from his home. “There had been so many big-money offers for them to reunite.” Owens was on a family vacation in Pennsylvania when the announcement was made. But he wasn’t surprised. “I knew it was going to happen,” he says. “I knew this wouldn’t last. Rob is the original singer, and so he should also be the one there at the end.”
