Oasis Remains Admirably Working-Class
Stuart Berman of the Toronto Eye reviewed the Oasis show at Molson Amphitheatre on August 17th, giving the performance three stars. Stuart writes, “For a band that’s earned enough pounds to buy Buckingham Palace, Oasis’ approach remains admirably working-class: no bullsh**, all business. At an Oasis show, the crowd goes crazy so the band doesn’t have to. Liam strolls around the stage like a barfly who’s just stumbled onto the job by accident — which makes him the ultimate rock star for the common people — while Noel, guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell and drummer Alan White just make sure the hit-machine assembly line runs smoothly.” Eye.net has since removed the article.
