Noel Gallagher Blames Britrock Slowdown On ‘Cycles’

guitarist Noel Gallagher tells CDNow.com that popularity of British music and American music comes in cycles. “I think when we first started coming to America, the radio was saturated with British music,” he said. “Whether it be Depeche Mode, the Police, or the Smiths. But I think America has reclaimed its own airwaves. I don’t know why that is, but these things come in cycles. In England now, the American bands are the bands that are en vogue.”
