Nobody At Big Day Out Had Formal Crowd Control Experience
The Sydney Morning Herald reports nobody employed by the Big Day Out, including its founder and promoter, Ken West, had any formal qualifications in crowd control, safety or risk assessment, a coronial inquiry heard yesterday. West told the court that eliminating a crowd collapse was not an “easy concept,” adding, “We weren’t entirely confident that [Limp Bizkit] would stop when signalled.
