No Doubt Didn’t Want To Do Album Right After Tour

Gene Stout of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer spoke with drummer Adrian Young ahead of the band’s show Wednesday at the Paramount Theater. The band had planned to take a break after the ‘Return of Saturn’ tour, but began writing songs. “It wasn’t like we wanted to do another record right away,” Young said. “But Gwen, Tom and Tony wanted to write songs because they’re songwriters and that’s what they do. The ideas got pretty exciting and the inspiration came along, and all of a sudden we found ourselves doing an album.” Read more.
