Nickleback Talk About And Perform On Their Flying Stage

A behind-the-scenes look at Nickleback’s rockin’ live performance from their sold-out tour for Walmart Soundcheck has been posted at the retailer’s web site. Footage includes the Canadian rock band performing ‘This Means War’, ‘Bottoms Up’, ‘Animals’, ‘Lullaby’ and ‘Burn It To The Ground’.
During an interview with Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger and Daniel Adair, the guys talked about the recording process, not being the type to over-record if something isn’t working, probably not planning a concept album, the story behind their new album being titled ‘Here & Now’, the song ‘Lullaby’ being a ray of hope for people in a dark place, Chad meeting a guy at a bar turning into the ‘This Means War’ music video shoot days later, their elaborate stage, and making an effort to mixi up styles of music on their albums.
“We have a stage like we’ve never brought with is before,” the Nickleback frontman explained. “We have a screen that splits apart in six different sections. We’ve got a flying saucer stage that comes down and picks the entire band up and flies us across the audience and sets us down when we play songs in mid-air and start to spin. It’s just a lot of insanity.”
