Nickelback Still Seems Challenged As A Headliner

Anastasia Pantsios of The Cleveland Plain Dealer was on hand at Nickelback’s show at the Nautica Pavilion in Cleveland’s Flats on Saturday night. Pantsios said of the group’s performance: “Nickelback still seems a bit challenged as a headliner. The set’s brevity, the reliance on cliched arena-rock tactics such as dowsing the crowd with water, lines like ‘I want to hear you scream’, ‘Cleveland (expletive) rocks!’ and the incessant pyrotechnic effects suggest that the group hasn’t yet grown into its new role or developed a distinct identity.
