Nickelback Hits The #2 Spot With Silver Side Up

’s album debut of Silver Side Up hit the #2 spot in the album charts, though far behind chart topper Jay-Z.

The band cleared 178,000 copies of the album which was dwarfed by Jay Z’s The Blueprint with 427,000. Other rock acts in the top of the charts include the debut of P.O.D.’s Satellite at #6 selling 133,000 copies of the disc. Slayer’s ‘God Hates Us All’ slipped in at #28 it’s first week out while System of a Down’s Toxicity fell from #1 to #11 as the band contends with how Americans may react to Serj Tankian’s comments last week.
