Mike Bell of the Calgary Sun reports Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger and longtime music promoter Jason Miller were on hand at the keynote address at New Music West, the Vancouver industry showcase the other night. Kroeger took the opportunity to blast hometown Alberta radio stations for not playing the group’s music until they had made it big in the United States. He also talked about how their hit ‘How You Remind Me’ came to be. He admits the group set about making a 3 minute song with the intention of “brainwashing people to think (Nickelback) were the greatest thing since sliced bread.”
