After Nada Surf was dumped by Elektra, singer-guitarist Matthew Caws earned his keep by working at a NYC record store. He tells Jason Anderson of the Toronto Eye that it was the little things that kept the group going. “I’d check a message board in the morning before going into the store,” said Caws, “and for five minutes I’d remember, ‘Oh, there actually are people hoping we’ll make another record.’ It was easy to forget.” Now the group is back with ‘Let Go’, getting positive reviews from the press. Eye.net has since removed the article.
