My Chemical Romance’s Musical Growth Continues

Since the release of My Chemical Romance’s sophomore album ‘Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge’, singer Gerard Way tells Alan Sculley of Cincinnati CityBeat that the musical growth of the band has continued unabated. “We really pushed ourselves so hard to get to a natural progression, not just a complete and total leap,” Way said. “The writing since (’Three Cheers’) is even further of a jump. So it’s kind of like if we had gone from the first record to what we’re writing now, it probably would not have made as much sense. But now it all makes sense.” Read more.
