Muse Frontman Gets Bass Relief
Morgan Nicholls, who plays bass for The Streets, has taken over four-string duties from Muse’s Chris Wolstenholme, who broke his wrist on a recent tour of the United States, and already proved an adept replacement. “It wasn’t really The Streets connection [that led us to choose Nicholls],” Wolstenholme explained to Australia’s Time Off magazine. “He played in a band years and years ago that we used to listen to when we were 14 or 15. It was a band called The Senseless Things and we were big fans of them. He was actually one of the guys who influenced my bass playing a lot and he plays in a very similar way to me so it felt like he was an appropriate choice.”
