Curtis Ross of The Tampa Tribune caught up with Korn guitarist James ‘Munky’ Shaffer who says he takes pride in Korn’s influence on modern rock radio. “It’s nice to see a generation of musicians turning what we’re doing around and interpreting it in their way,” Shaffer says. “It’s flattering to be a part of the chain of art and music influencing art and music. There’s an underlying rivalry between bands even though they all hang out and they’re friends. They all push each other in an artistic way.”
