MTV Taps Metallica As Next ‘Icon’
Metallica will follow in the footsteps of Janet Jackson and Aerosmith as honorees of MTV’s performance tribute show mtvICON, with the third annual event set to premiere May 6. The show will tape before a live audience three days earlier in Los Angeles, with performances paying respects to the veteran hard rock act.
