MTV Exposure Helps Rock Acts
HitsDailyDouble.com reports MTV’s new Big Ten rotation and recent ‘Spankin’ New Bands Week’ has bolstered sales on several new rock groups, with weekly totals up anywhere from 26% to a whopping 70%. Epic’s Good Charlotte saw their ‘Young and Hopeless’ album climb 22-9 on this week’s HITS Top 50, up an impressive 39%. Atlantic’s Simple Plan crashed the charts at 35, while major gains were also experienced by Atlantic’s The Donnas, Reprise’s The Used and MCA’s New Found Glory.
