McGrath Suggests More Spacing Between AMA’s/Grammys

Launch.com spoke with singer Mark McGrath backstage at the American Music Awards to get his thoughts on the show’s battle with Michael Greene and the Grammy Awards. Mark said, “I think Dick Clark, the legend that he is, should be commanded the respect that the show deserves. I mean, it’s the American Music Awards, which I think is fantastic. With that being said, I think the problem with the Grammys and the American Music Awards is they’re too close together. I think maybe if there’s a seasonal thing, maybe six months–maybe a biannual thing if you will–and I think that can, like rev it up and juice up the energies for the two shows.”
