Man Overboard guitarist Justin Collier spoke with Alternative Press about their unlikely signing to Rise Records. “It was a bit of a shock to us too,” Collier said about their first meeting with the label. “I remember we were pretty nervous about that first meeting. We didn’t want to piss them off or make fun of crabcore, but we really connected with them. They understood where we were coming from. They’ve built a diverse roster these days with Transit, Sharks and Hot Water Music. Craig [Ericson] took a chance on us, and we’re working our asses off to prove he’s right.”
