The world record for most people singing karaoke simultaneously was broken at the victory celebration for Finland’s Eurovision winning monster band Lordi on May 26th, Guinness World Records announced. The new record is to appear in the 2007 edition of the Guinness World Records book. Over 80,000 people sung the monster band’s winning song ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah’ in Helsinki on May 26th. The mass karaoke event was organized by Karaoke Service Finland. Pictures of the band presenting the new Guiness 2007 book on September 14th in Helsinki, Finland from WireImage have since been removed.
