Linkin Park won Favorite Alternative Music Artist at the American Music Awards on Sunday night. Chester Bennington and Phoenix accepted the award and said, “We definitely like to thank Coldplay and Metallica, first of all. A tough crowd to be involved with there. But we’re fans of those two groups. We also like it thank all of the fans out there for giving us the opportunity to do what we do. And without you guys we wouldn’t have one of these. So thank you very much. Thank you, guys.”
