Murray Engleheart of Australia’s Beat magazine spoke with Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich who made the case for the veteran band being still young, or at least feeling that way. “We still feel pretty young and we feel like our peers are bands like Korn and Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit maybe more so than bands like Aerosmith or The Stones or AC/DC or something,” Ulrich said. “We like to surround ourselves with the younger guys and be inspired by bands like System Of A Down. It’s so cool when these bands want to open up for you like all the current crop of young bands that you actually respect and actually like. They sit there and go, you guys are the reason we formed a band! And we sit there and go, well, you guys are the reason we’re still together!”
