Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has advice for bands these days that complain about the rigors of touring. “We grew up in an environment where the road was our only friend,” he told FHM. “These younger guys start complaining about playing 30 shows. We used to play 150 across America. Nobody plays Huntsville, Alabama or La Crosse, Wisconsin anymore. We’ve been there and done those shows. You have to get on with it and shut the fu** up.”
