Kid Rock Relies Too Heavily Lowest-Common-Denominator Appeal

John Soeder of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reviewed ’s concert at the Tower City Amphitheater Friday night. Soeder described the rap-rocker saying, “Rock is a natural showman and a talented musician. At one point, he had a go at playing every instrument in his backing group’s arsenal. Unfortunately, he relied too heavily on his lowest-common-denominator appeal. Losing the go-go dancers would be a good start if Rock hopes to connect with a wider audience.” Cleveland.com has since removed the article.
