Kid Rock Compares ‘Cowboy’ Suit To Ambulance Chasers

Kid Rock commented to Karen Bliss of Rolling Stone on the suit, which was filed on behalf of Microhits Music Corp. in U.S. District Court in California on April 17th stating that Kid Rock’s hit single ‘Cowboy’ borrows from ‘I Wanna Be a Cowboy,’ registered by the U.S. Copyright Office in 1989 by songwriters Brian Chatton, Nico Ramsden, Nick Richards and Jeff Scopardi. Rock fumed, “Honestly, the only thing I know about that at this point is [that there is] some attorney that buys rights to songs and tries to find lyrics that match other lyrics.
