Justin Hawkins Injures Hand In Fight

The Sunday Mirror reports The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins has lost the use of his right hand after smashing it through a window during a booze-fuelled fight with a mystery attacker. “This is the scenario no one wants with less than a month before a major tour,” a source close to the band revealed. “Justin’s been in agony since it happened and just feels angry that his fans could be let down. He was kept in overnight while the hand was worked on by an orthopaedic surgeon and is under strict orders to look after himself now. A procedure was performed to reconnect severed tendons on the back of his hand. He should retain about 90 per cent use of the hand – as long as the healing process is unhindered. Justin is praying he’ll be able to pick his guitar up again soon.”
