Josh Homme Touts Eagles Side Project

Murray Engleheart of Australia’s Beat magazine spoke with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme about his side project, the Eagles of Death Metal, and plans for a new Queens album. The Eagles’ album, ‘Peace, Love and Death Metal’ has been delayed until March although it’s not clear if their version of Stealer’s ‘Wheel’s Stuck In The Middle With You’ will be included on it. “We do it our style baby.” Homme says of the seventies’ classic. “Stuck in the metal with you. The Eagles is not really death metal but that’s not the point, Death metal is an interpretative word. Or two words. There’s some death metal guys that aren’t too happy about the ‘misuse’ of the word as they’re calling it. But you know, what are you gonna do man? You can’t please ’em all. Fu** ’em if they can’t take a joke!”
