Joe Perry Says Aerosmith Debut Still Makes Him Smile
Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry tells John Soeder of the Cleveland Plain Dealer that the group’s self-titled debut album “still makes me smile.” Perry says, “I’ll look around at the other guys and think, God, we played this song to 20 people at Paul’s Mall in Boston in 1973.’ And look at us now, still riding the horse. There are times when I’ll be playing certain licks, and they’ll bring back vivid memories. . . .It’s the same for us as it is for the fans. The first time you hear Dream On,’ and you’re in the car with your girlfriend, it makes an impression on you.” Cleveland.com has since removed the article.
