Jim Farber’s Thoughts On Grammy Nods

Jim Farber of the New York Daily News weighed in on yesterday’s Grammy nominations. In the rock side of the nominations, he says, “More dispiriting news arrives in the Best Rock Album category, which overlooked critically approved bands like the Hives or Vines for tripe like Tonic… But it was nice to see the smart and cool British band Clinic turn up in the Best Alternative category, the wonderful Mexican electro-rock group Kinky get props for Best Latin Rock Alternative and Johnny Cash’s stalwart ‘The Man Comes Around’ pop up in both country and folk categories. It’s enough to make you overlook any number of gaffes.” The full article at nydailynews.com has since been removed or relocated.
