Jet Wins ‘Best Rock Video’ VMA

Jet took home ‘Best Rock Video’ for ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl?’ at the MTV Video Music Awards in Miami on Sunday night. Frontman Nic Cester said upon accepting the award, “It’s definitely something we didn’t expect. Hey, look, thanks, everybody, very much. I didn’t expect this. I’m from… (bleeped) oh, I didn’t say that. I want to dedicate this award to my dad, my late, great dad [John Cester, who died of cancer earlier this month], and God bless you, and thank you very much.”
