James Walsh Explains Bust-Up With Liam Gallagher
NME spoke with Starsailor frontman James Walsh after his bust-up with Liam Gallagher of Oasis at at T In The Park on Saturday. Walsh had approached Liam’s brother Noel Gallagher and asked him why he had called him “a co**” in a recent interview. Noel replied: “I don’t know what you’re talking about. But you must be a co** then and by the way, you’re wearing my t-shirt.” Then Liam became involved. “Liam came over and squared up to me,” Walsh said Sunday. “He puffed up his little pigeon chest and said: ‘Don’t ever interupt my brother’s interview again [Noel had been doing a number of interviews in the backstage area at the time]. If someone says you are a co**, then you are one. That’s it.’ He then got his security guards over and one held him back while I was talking to another one. It all just got a bit out of hand.”
