Jacoby Shaddix Was Fed Up With Being Called Dick
NME.com spoke with Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix, who revealed why he chose to change his name from Coby Dick. Jacoby said of going back to being referred to by his birthname, “Whenever I used to read the press it was always like ‘Dick says…’. I think I’ve got a pretty cool fu**ing name – Jacoby Shaddix. It’s like, there’s so many different personalities living inside of me.” Besides, he’s not the first artist to change his name, “Dude, P.Diddy did it! He changed his name, why can’t I? Therefore I am hip-hop!”
