Jack Russell Says Station Fire Is Always On His Mind
Blaine Schweitzer of The Kent County Daily Times caught up with Great White frontman Jack Russell for a Q&A and asked the singer how he’s gotten to the point where he can feel good about performing again after the tragic fire at The Station nightclub which resulted in 100 deaths, including bandmate Ty Longley. “I’m still working on it. It’s a daily process,” Russell admitted. “You never really quite get over it. Being onstage again is becoming fun again, I’m enjoying it, but there’s still a big hole in my heart and there always will be. … You don’t want to forget your friends, but then again you don’t want to live that day over and over again.”
