Jack Black’s The Head Of The Class At The ‘School Of Rock’
The Boston Herald caught up with Tenacious D’s Jack Black to talk about his new movie ‘School of Rock’, which sees him play Dewey Finn, an unemployed rocker who dreams of winning a battle-of-the-bands contest. A chance at making some cash comes when Dewey opts to impersonate his roommate for a substitute teaching gig with 5th graders at a private school. The kids, he realizes after overhearing a student music period, are potential punk-rockers whom he drafts to serve his musical mission. In three short weeks, the class band – dubbed ‘School of Rock’ – is cranking out rock classics.
