Joe Lee of The New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) caught up with Hoobastank lead guitarist Dan Estrin and drummer Chris Hesse who were in Kuala Lumpur on a promo stint. The two talked about their loss of privacy now that they are somewhat famous with Dan admitting, “We’d like to set aside time for the band, and we wish fans sometimes knew how it was for us.” Chris added, “Yeah, a fan will come up and demand all this time from us and we just can’t give it to them.” Dan joked, “If it takes a punch to get the message across, hey! Leave us alone. We need our time and space. Sometimes we just want to have a bite, and we have fans who hover over us with a pen asking for autographs and a camera and they want us to pose for pictures.”
