Hellogoodbye Surprised By The Power Of MTV
Hellogoodbye keyboardist Jesse Kurvink spoke with Australia’s Time Off magazine about getting approached by MTV to appear on ‘The Real World’ after performing at SXSW. “They approached us and asked us if we wanted to do it,” he explained. “It was kinda weird to do it. But you know, we get kids coming to shows saying ‘Oh, we saw you guys on ‘The Real World’, so I went and downloaded your record, then I bought your record and I decided to come to the show’. It was definitely a lot more helpful to us than what I thought it’d be. To me it just seemed like a little bit of a strange idea to be doing a stint on reality television.
