Hammond Doesn’t Worry About The Strokes Hype

Gene Stout of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer chatted with drummer Albert Hammond Jr. with the group just about ready to wrap up their tour where they’ll hopefully be able to escape some of the hype that surrounds any Next Big Thing rock ‘n’ roll band and work on their sophomore album. “I don’t really worry about that with us,” Hammond said of the hype. “Sometimes we have to give in just to keep on going, but for the most part, what we do is good. I think we try to put out things that are of quality, from the album cover to the singles to our videos.” Read more.
