The Sun reports Gwyneth Paltrow joined 3,500 fans who squeezed into London’s Royal Albert Hall to see Coldplay kick off the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs fronted by The Who’s Roger Daltry. Frontman Chris Martin explained why the band decided to do the Teenage Cancer gigs. “I got a call six months ago on my phone,” he told the audience. “I get Dominic Mohan and lots of weird people calling me on my mobile but it was Roger Daltrey. I thought it was my mate Simon Pegg taking the mick.” The full story at thesun.co.uk has since been archived.
