Green Day’s Grammy Nomination Surprise

Jim Farber of the New York Daily News weighed in on the list of nominees announced for the 47th Grammy Awards. Farber said of Green Day nabbing 6 nominations: “Probably the most unexpected, and welcome, angle to this year’s nominations is the prominence of Green Day’s ‘American Idiot’. Though yours truly picked it in an article predicting the nominations in Monday’s paper, I didn’t think the band would mount up a full six nods.
