Green Day Win Best Rock Album Grammy Award

Green Day took home the Best Rock Album award for ‘American Idiot’ at the Grammys on Sunday night. Accepting the honor, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said, “Well, there’s a ton of people we have to thank. So, who should we start with? Rob Cavallo for one who made the record with us, thank you. You’ve been with us for a long time. We love you. Thanks a lot, Pat Magnarella, all the people at Reprise.” Mike Dirnt added, “Everybody at Warner Brothers, thank you very much for your hard work here. All the fans, everybody at radio that plays rock ‘n’ roll music still. Our EPBM crew and the studios up north for working the whole time. I’d like to say hello. I love you Estelle.” Tre Cool concluded, “Adrian, Joey, Jacob, thank you very much. And we know rock ‘n’ roll can be dangerous and fun at the same time. So thanks a lot.”
