Green Day Eclipses Blink 182 At Oakland Tour Stop
Neva Chonin of the San Francisco Chronicle reviewed the Pop Disaster Tour stop in Oakland on Sunday, saying Blink-182 was “eclipsed by Green Day.” Chonin said, “Blink-182 closed the night because it’s a fresh, though hardly inspired, band selling albums by the millions; Green Day is less platinum-plated these days, but broke ground for Blink and others by taking punk-pop to the top of the charts in the ’90s. Yet judging by Saturday’s sets, Green Day remains the hotter band.” Read more.
