Good Charlotte Win Viewer’s Choice VMA

Good Charlotte picked up the Viewer’s Choice Award at the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday night. Upon accepting the award, Benji and Joel told the crowd, “So we started this band in our garage in a place called Waldorf, Maryland. About eight years ago. We have a lot of people to thank like our record label and MTV and we owe this to everybody. But nobody in this industry would care about our band at all, we know for a fact if it wasn’t for the cities that came to Good Charlotte shows and go to the Warp Tour. So we really didn’t think we were going to win this but I guess the only thing I can say is thank you very much for the kids who believe in Good Charlotte and Bill Fishman director of the video. Thanks a lot you guys. Thanks to all our fans. Thank you guys. Peace.”
